Workshop on Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

The Nepalese Society of Radiotherapy and Oncology (NESRO) recently conducted a comprehensive five-day workshop on Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) from October 21-25, 2024.
Held at NAMS, Bir Hospital, and Civil Service Hospital in Kathmandu, the program attracted around 40 participants from across Nepal. The workshop focused on the clinical application of SBRT, with sessions covering dosimetry and quality assurance (QA) standards crucial for safe and effective treatments.
This collaborative training, supported by international organizations including the IAEA, emphasized practical skills and quality measures, aiming to elevate radiation oncology standards throughout the country.
